Once Bree Harris, one of my good friends and teammates, found out the news, she wanted to give us a special engagement present. It was a book she had gotten from somebody she knew because she was close to getting engaged as well. She gave us a book entitled “Before Your Wedding”. The idea of the book is you are supposed to see if you are truly compatible before you get married. The book contains a series of different “dates” you go on to discuss important topics. Topics included dreams and expectations, background histories, your views on children, alcohol, and anything else that would be pertinent before you selected the one. Mike and I discussed several of the topics but skipped over many of them. Our favorite was a personality profile quiz. Turns out Mike is an off road vehicle and I was a mini-van. I guess it is pretty fitting! And apparently there weren’t any huge red flags because we were moving this mini-off road vehicle forward!
